Group Platforms Product Lead

Location: Cambridge, Luton or Macclesfield

Introduction to role:

The Group Platforms team are the owners of Group Finance data and systems that supports Statutory & Management consolidation and planning. We partner with Group Finance teams to ensure that data and systems support their business outcomes and deliver continuous improvement. We provide expert advice on current and future use of systems to Group Finance leaders and teams. We act as a conduit and bridge between Group Finance and IT teams to deliver change and continuous improvement.

You'll partner with Group Finance teams, providing expert advice and bridging the gap between finance and IT to deliver transformative change. This role offers a unique opportunity to connect the dots across Finance & IT, engage in enterprise-level problem solving, and drive process improvements that truly make a difference. Accountabilities:
- Bridge the gap between business and technical teams to translate requirements and find innovative solutions to new or developing business requirements.
- Proactively engage across Global Process Delivery, Data, and IT teams to ensure joined-up deployment of business change and smooth support to key Group processes.
- Collect and prioritize opportunities for continuous improvement, adapting solutions to evolving business requirements and removing key difficulties.
- Provide impact assessments for upstream projects, working with teams to find mitigation options where Group systems/data will be impacted.
- Build a unique skillset in the end-to-end flow of Finance Data from SAP and other sources into Finance Data Hub, and ultimately in Group Finance systems.
- Subject Matter expertise of Group requirements in other forums such as Axial, Finance Analytics Council.
- Keep up to speed with the evolving technology landscape such as Agentic AI, and generate ideas on how those can be applied in a Group Finance context.

Essential Skills/Experience:
- Business degree or relevant experience with a professional accountancy qualification.
- Experience in the use of multiple platforms (e.g SAP, Oracle Hyperion, Snowflake, PowerApps).
- Experience of developing innovative solutions, blueprints, and standards for solution design.
- Intellectually curious with strong problem-solving skills.
- Possess and apply strong written and oral communication skills together with effective negotiation, influencing, and presentation skills.
- Demonstrated ability to support multiple projects/tasks effectively and deliver exceptional results in a matrix organisation.

Desirable Skills/Experience:
- Demonstrated initiative, strong customer orientation, and cross-cultural working.
- Demonstrated experience in connecting Finance business requirements into IT technical requirements.
- Prior experience within the pharmaceutical industry.
- Finance systems knowledge across multiple platforms (SAP, Oracle, PowerApps, AI tools, Master Data Management tools).
